Once your order is placed, the main product decisions are behind you.
From there, your sink moves through production, shipping, delivery, and installation. Here is what to expect and what you can prepare while your sink is being made.
1. Your order is confirmed
After the order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation and estimated timing. Crete sinks are made to order, with a typical production lead time of 4–6 weeks from order confirmation.
At this stage, it is worth confirming the details of the order:
- Sink model
- Color
- Faucet configuration, where applicable
- Quantity
- Shipping information

2. Your sink enters production
Your sink is made for the order in Crete's Edmonton shop.
The selected color is created using pigment integrated into the concrete mix. The sink then moves through Crete's production and finishing process before being sealed, inspected, and prepared for shipment.
3. Prepare the installation while the sink is being made
Production time is the right time to make sure the site is ready. The installer should have the specification sheet and installation guide for the exact model before plumbing, countertop, wall-support, or mounting work is finalized.
- Review exact sink dimensions
- Confirm drain location
- Confirm faucet location and configuration
- Confirm plumbing rough-ins
- Confirm countertop opening where applicable
- Confirm wall blocking / support where applicable
- Review mounting hardware requirements
- Share the installation guide with the installer
4. Your sink is packed and shipped
Once production is complete, the sink is packaged for transit and shipped to the delivery address on the order. Some orders may ship by freight depending on size and quantity.
Plan for someone to receive the shipment and to inspect the packaging on arrival.
5. Inspect it when it arrives
Inspect the exterior packaging before opening the shipment. If you notice any dents, punctures, crushed corners, tears, or other visible damage to the box, take clear photographs of all sides of the packaging before opening it. These photos can be important documentation if a shipping damage claim needs to be submitted.
After documenting the packaging, carefully unpack and inspect the sink itself. Keep the box and all packing materials until you have confirmed that the sink arrived safely. If damage is found, photograph both the sink and the packaging and contact Crete as soon as possible.
6. Install using the guide for your sink
Installation requirements vary by sink type and model. Use the installation guide associated with the exact sink being installed — Crete provides separate installation documentation for different mounting types and certain individual models.
The installer should review the documentation before beginning.
If there is uncertainty around plumbing, structural support, mounting, or installation, use a qualified professional.
7. Care for the sink
